World Youth Day is an international gathering of young Catholics. We’ve taken groups in the past on this pilgrimage experience. Travel across the world with people who become your dear friends, see another country and culture, experience the universal Church, attend catechesis sessions, and a prayer vigil and Mass with the Pope. We had an amazing pilgrimage to Krakow, Poland in 2016 and Panama City, Panama in 2019 - see pictures below.
World Youth Day is a gathering of hundreds of thousands to millions of young people from all over the world. Be amazed as you pass flags from all over the world and can shake hands at the sign of peace with people from five different continents. The week of events includes an opening Mass and three mornings of catechesis sessions (divided by language) that include music, prayer, talks, and Mass. Once the Pope arrives, he gives an evening welcome address and leads Stations of the Cross on Friday. The climax of it all includes a hike to a vigil site for an evening Adoration prayer service with the Holy Father, sleeping under the stars, and then celebrating Mass with the Holy Father in the morning.
